Unit 5 consists of creating your own brochure. We are asked to plan, write, edit, lay out, and design a point-of-sale brochure for the Stewart Harral chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America. It will consists of using a standard 8 1/2" by 11" tri-fold format, 4 color, and printed on both sides.

My approach to completing this tasks will be very similar to my other assignments I have done in this class. This includes doing my research, learning from the good and bad examples of brochures, and starting the assignment early so I can do my best work. I am very excited to do this assignment because I will be designing it by myself just like the direct mailer. I believe in doing this I will learn very much about design and making sure everything within the brochure is to the point.

I want to achieve creating a great brochure and learn from it. I know my first brochure will not be perfect, but I will most likely create more brochures down the road and I want to learn the ins and outs of brochures. I am hoping that after I am finished with the assignment it will be something I am proud of and can show it off to friends and family.

My next steps with this assignment is to start researching. I have not done any research yet, but look forward to it because I know I will learn a lot from doing it. This assignment will most likely take the most of my time compared to the other assignments I have completed for this class. I want to start early on this assignment so I am not rushed when working on it.
