I had the opportunity to take Intro to PR with Dr. Jensen Moore and throughout the class we made our portfolio which included making a business card. I enjoyed this task because the business card represented my brand. I utilized Canva throughout the assignment of creating my portfolio and I am excited to start utilizing InDesign to make a business card for this class.
This assignment is very specific with the requirements, which I like. There are five main requirements and they are: share your contact information, the business card says you are professional, makes you memorable, networking, and also shares your personal brand. Although these requirements are specific they also allow you to explore all of. your options in regards to design.
My approach to this project is to be consistent within my personal brand. I want to explore all of the options and just have fun with it. I plan to be very tedious with my work and not be in a rush to finish this assignment. I enjoy designing, but that requires time and also know how to use InDesign. This is something I'm going to have to practice because I know how to use Canva.
I want to achieve a final product of the business card as professional, but also helps me stand out as an individual. I want this business card to be modern and simplistic because that it what my brand consists of.
I look forward to continue learning and exploring InDesign. I hope to become very fluid in using InDesign where I can put it on my resume as a skill.
