Reflecting on Unit 4

Within unit 4 of PR Publications, we as students, were asked to reflect on the major concepts of "design blitz". These concepts consisted of color, typography, balance, alignment, contrast, repetition, proximity, and space. All of these concepts were very interesting to learn about and how they are able to work together through ads and other documents.

My approach to completing this task was to do my own research and figure out my own design aspect within these concepts. I found that doing my research helped me more than I was expecting. From doing my research, I was able to understand what I liked and didn't. There were many ads or branding of companies I did not enjoy.

I was definitely trying to achieve my understanding of what I liked and what I didn't. I wanted to figure this out just in case if I ever ended up working in the field of public relations with dealing with branding and advertisements. I feel that I have been able to achieve what I wanted to in the first place.

My next steps within this unit is to carry everything I have learned with me. I want to continue to educate myself and learn more about advertisements and branding. Especially since this topic is ever changing. I am extremely excited to continue to do research on this topic and strengthen my knowledge within it.
